hi, i was reading this site and can relate to so much . I have been with an alcoholic for 17 years since i was 15 and my stepfather that raised me was alcoholic.The funny thing is i first moved in with my current husband to get away from my stepfather i thought it was normal for teenagers to drink and party but it took me forever to realize that my husbands drinking was so much more of a problem . once i left home i couldnt go back then i was pregnant at 21 and felt he would change because we were parents now.That was a joke!!!THIS MAN HAS CHEATED ON MANY times, STAYED OUT FOR DAYS AT A TIME, RUPTURED ME SPLEEN, LEFT ME ON THE SIDE OF A HIGHWAY, WOULDNT DRIVE ME TO THE HOSPITAL WHEN I WAS IN LABOR WITH OUR THIRD CHILD, HE HAS HAD 2 DUIS (MIRACLE) SHOULD BE MUCH MORE, HE HAS SHOT OFF GUNS INSIDE OUR HOUSE WITH OUR KIDS PRESENT , PUNCHED me IN THE HEAD WHILE I WAS HOLDING OUR 3 MONTH OLD, SolD MY FURNITURE WITHOUT PERMISSIoN, CAUSED ME TO LOSE JOBS, HE GOES FROM JOB TO JOB, HE MAKES RACIST REMARKS TO OUR KIDS AND I BELEIVE IT IS WRONG, CUT MY TIRES SO I COULDNT LEAVE ,THROWN MY BELONGINGS ALL OVER THE YARD, THROWN A LARGE BATTERY AT MY FACE, BROKEN SEVERAL PHONES SO I COULDNT TALK TO ANYONE, CUT THE PHONE LINES ON THE HOUSE, RUINED ALMOST EVERY HOLIDAY ,,,and has almost always found a way to blame these things on me,,,,,also spends our last money at the bar as he desires.....the ironic thing is his father is currently dying from cirrossis of the liver and my husband still drinks leaving that same legacy to our precious children.... by the grace of God I am finally making concrete preparations to leave and move in with relatives until I GET ON MY FEET... i will have to sneak out while he is at work,,,wont be easy as he comes and goes during the day. i feel bad for him that his father is dying at this time but i must stay with my plan or i may never get out as there is always a reason to stay..IF YOU ARE IN A RELATIONSHIP like this PLEASE RUN RUN RUN IT WILL NOT GET BETTER HE WILL NOT CHANGE FOR YOU OR YOUR CHILDREN HE MUST DO IT FOR HIM..
