The United States Air Force is seeking to purchase 8 of the AN/PAS-23 Mini Thermal Monoculars (MTM). These are handheld thermal monoculars that are in use by a wide range of US Armed Forces. The PAS-23 is a 320x240 resolution thermal unit. The newest units available are now 640x480 resolution but the PAS-23 is an old standby.  Rugged an reliable the PAS-23 is made to last.

Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst seeks to purchase eight (8) AN/PAS-23, Mini Thermal Monoculars (MTM). The MTM is a handheld thermal imaging device with an integrated Laser Pointer and digital camera. The thermal imaging capability of the MTM allows for observation and target identification under adverse conditions including light rain, smoke, light snow, low light and total darkness. The MTM's Laser Pointer allows for active target designation. The integrated digital camera enables acquisition, storage, download, and recall of viewed thermal images.
