Simply AMAZING!

In the above image you can get a sense of the spatial resolution of the Thermal Microscope. This is an image of a standard caliper using the thermal microscope. You can see that .01mm=10 microns. The image shows the jaws of the caliper when set to .01mm. You cannot see the space with your bare eyes. Under the thermal microscope you can clearly see the space between the jaws.

The amazing design and performance of the germanium microscope lens allows you to get in super tight on the smallest of elements. However, the ultra sensitive PtSi (platinum silicide) thermal FPA sensor inside the thermal microscope is what produces the extremely detailed fine resolution thermal images. This cooled mid wavelength thermal sensor is ultra exotic and found only in high end laboratory imagers and top of the line super long range military imaging systems. These sensors are only used when maximum imaging performance is demanded with minimum stray noise. The cooled sensors increase sensitivity from .10C common in today’s average imagers to an astounding <.07C sensitivity!
