The MB320 is a premier solid state thermal imaging device which is suited for fire fighting and law enforcement surveillance applications.

In our modern world, technology continually changes in leaps and bounds. The technology for the delivery of fire response and suppression  is no exception. Recently the fire service has been introduced to one of the most exciting new technologies to come along in years.

The Thermal Imaging Camera ( TIC ) and its infrared  technology offers  firefighters the ability to locate trapped or injured occupants and  to move through dark, smoke filled environments. With this device firefighters now have the ability to locate victims quickly, perform rescue and extrication of the victims, locate the seat of the fire and extinguish the fire expeditiously.TIC's read infrared radiation wavelengths.  Different objects including the human body give off varying heat levels. The TIC can differentiate heat levels in fractions of degrees allowing firefighters to distinguish between hot, warm and cool surfaces. Infrared travels in longer wavelengths than visible light, therefore in dense smoky conditions the TIC allows firefighters to see objects that are not visible with the naked eye.

The Mb320 TIC offers the absolute most rugged thermal imaging package available. The system is waterproof, shock resistant and is made to withstand the harshest enviorments.

The MB320 is the first production Thermal Imaging Camera designed specifically for the fire/rescue service that incorporates third generation microbolometer technology. The microbolometer technology provides unbelievably clear images without the ghosting and White Out common in First and Second Generation units. Our advanced digital electronics and solid state construction eliminates the continuously moving mechanical choppers and brightness controls found in the other Thermal Imagers. Unsurpassed convenience from our exclusive Grab-N-Go storage & charging rack keeps the MB320   ready for action at a moments notice. When you combine our 2 year warranty, an all metal chassis and no continuously moving parts, it becomes clear why the Mb320 is unbeatable for reliability and dependability when conditions demand it.   

The MB320 utilizes a 3'rd generation microbolometer imaging technology like no other thermal imaging camera available today. The imager produces high quality images without the continuously moving parts found in second generation imagers. Our microbolometer technology creates an image by focussing heat onto an arrangement of microscopic picture elements (pixels) and converting this change in heat into an electrical signal.

These signals are processed by the internal camera electronics to form an image which is displayed on the camera's screen. Automatic brightness control is accomplished via advanced digital signal processing and is done without any moving parts or other mechanical systems. The imagery produced is smooth and clear, without the choppiness and ghosting associated with the chopper wheel of a second generation unit.

 The superior sensitivity of the microbolometer imager is increased by the use of our exclusive, patent pending iC technology and Ls Software. iC technology provides stable imagery across a wide range of ambient temperatures. If conditions demand it, the user can command the Image Clear unit to perform a re-calibration with a single push button operation to further improve image quality in extremely stressful conditions. iC technology combined with the Ls Software allows for direct viewing of heat sources without ghosting or contrast loss like that found in second generation imagers.

Waterproof, Shock Resistant ALL metal chassis

Designed with the fire fighter in mind, only the Mb320 is housed in an all metal multi-mode chassis ideal for walking, crawling and any other attack posture imaginable. The Mb320 eats flashovers up and spits them out with it's Nickel plating reflecting away up to 95% of the heat striking it. Mb320 reps demonstrate this heat resistance by directing the flame from a torch onto the exterior of the unit for 30 seconds at a time, and then touch it with bare skin without injury. 

The unique configuration of the MB320 allows the fire fighter to place the unit on the ground and slide it along during a search operation, and still be able to see the high visibility 4" screen from virtually any angle. The dual, side mounted flame resistant carry straps allow the Mb320 to be operated by a left or right handed user. While crawling, the Mb320 can be placed on it's side and used to support the fire fighter while simultaneously viewing and attacking a fire without leaning down and looking into the screen like the other units. By holding the unit in a vertical, downward looking direction, the user can visualize his feet while walking up or down stairs.

Waterproof to over 3 feet, the Mb320 can be submerged for hours at a time with no leakage or other degradation. The Mb320 floats with it's screen upward for easy identification and retrieval should it accidentally get tossed overboard during a marine operation.

Shockproof and tested in accordance with MIL-STD-810, the Mb320 has been designed for rough handling and survivability. Qualification tested though a wide variety of situations.

Grab N' Go convenience

The Mb320 thermal imaging camera comes standard with a unique Grab 'N Go Storage/Charging Rack. This rack can be wall, truck or case mounted (in the optional carrying case) and powered from a 110 VAC power supply or an optional cigarette lighter cord for the ultimate in portability and flexibility. When installed onto the Grab 'N Go rack, the Mb320's batteries are rapidly charged and provided with a trickle charge once fully topped up.

The batteries in the MB320 are mounted in a removable front mounted battery pack. This battery pack comes standard with a single battery for up to 1 hour of continuous operation, or can accommodate dual batteries for up to 3 hours of run time. An optional external battery charger and additional battery packs are available to provide unlimited operational time should conditions demand it.

I am a Capt. with the City of Darlington Fire Department.
We recently purchased one of your Thermal Imaging Cameras and I would
