  • All functions, which are displayed in pull down menus in the 550/570 color viewfinder, can be operated at the touch of a button via just four controls located at the back of the camera. A joystick control for electronic zoom and focus has also been included.

Digital voice recording on the THV 550/570 eliminates the need for lengthy note taking on surveys. All you have to do is speak into the headset microphone and the camera will record your message along with the image data onto a high capacity PC-card.

Up to 1500 images can be stored on each card in a format, which enables full analysis of the image at a later date. To help the operator complete the survey in the shortest time possible, an array of features such as differential temperature measurement and automatic detection of the hottest spot in an area have been included.

In addition, the dynamic integration function makes the detection of faults in areas of high activity significantly easier by selectively averaging over stationary objects. The function eliminates the smearing affect normally associated with this process and enhances the quality of images even when there is background motion.
